Sep 3 2010	Business Meeting By way of a change instead of our normal business meeting we shall be having a debate under the chairmanship of David Whalley. The topic for debate is "Manners maketh man". The principal speakers are Linda Lee-Davis, Jane Forsyth , Martin Wright and Nic Banham.

Sep 17 2010	Club Meeting Sali Brown, proprietor of Chelton Brown, a Northampton headquartered specialist letting and property management company will be talking to us today.

Sep 24 2010	District Conference President Ian Chacksfield will be leading a delegation from our club to attend the District 1070 conference to be held in Bournemouth from September 24th to the 26th. We hope many of our members and partners will join Ian and Pat for this fun filled week end..

Oct 1 2010	Young Chef Competition Each year we participate in the District organised Young Chef competition. Brian Norrey is the club organiser for the 2010/1 competition. Brian advises :- "Apart from last year, Waitrose store at Kingsthorpe has sponsored the Young Chef Competition by means of purchase vouchers of £10 to each competitor to cover the cost of ingredients, plus vouchers for first and second prizes. In all, a total of around £220 . This year, Waitrose have agreed to a different format of support. Each month, Waitrose donate £1000 to local charities. Three charities per month and divided between them on the basis of their customers support who are asked to place a green plastic token in one of three transparent boxes on display at the store exit. Each customer is given a plastic token at the check out. We have been allocated a slot during the month of October and our appeal notice on the box will be Youth Activities generally. Members who shop at Waitrose, may, if they wish, save any tokens until the month of October and then deposit in our designated box".

Oct 22 2010	Club Meeting David Ward is a senior partner in a Northampton based firm of solicitors. He will be talking to us about "legal tales".

Dec 3 2010	Club Meeting We shall be addressed by Andrea Leadsom, conservative member of parliament for the South Northamptonshire constituency. After 25 years in banking and finance Mrs Leadsom became a member of parliament at the May 2010 election.

Dec 4 2010	Young Chef Competition Once again we shall be participating in the Young Chef competition organised by District 1070. Aspiring "chefs" from local schools will be invited to a cookery event to be held at Moulton College at which they will prepare a 3 course meal. Fuller details of this event will be advised later. Club organiser is Brian Norrey.

Dec 5 2010	Community Carol service Once again we shall be hold our annual community carol concert at St.Botolphs Church, Church Brampton. Fuller details about the event will follow. Club organiser is Keith Archbold.

Dec 17 2010	Club Meeting We will be holding our Christmas lunch when we will be inviting partners and friends along.

Dec 20 2010	Tin Shake Once again we shall be holding our tin shake. This time from 20th to 24th December when we will be standing outside certain of the Northampton branches of Morrisson's, Tesco and Sainsbury's. Fuller details of this fund raising effort are to follow. It is hoped that as many members and supporters will be able to help out as "tin shakers" and administrators between the 20th and the 24th. In 2009 though the generosity of Northampton residents our Tin Shake raised over £6000 which has since been distributed to Rotary supported charities and organisations.

Feb 5 2011	Club Charter Our president Ian Chacksfield will be hosting our 41st club charter at the Northampton Marriot hotel, Eagle Drive, Brackmills ,Northampton. Full details to follow.

Mar 5 2011	County Youth Orchestra Concert Once again we shall be holding our annual concert when Northamptonshire County Youth orchestra will be performing at the Spinney Hill Concert Hall.. Fuller details of this event are to follow. Organiser Brian Norrey
