Rotary Friendship Exchange
The club welcomed a contingent of Rotarians and some partners from Oregon and Northern California.
They enjoyed the culture and beauty in our area and incorporated visits to the colleges in Oxford, Althorp House, the canal system at Stoke Bruerne as well as the architecture in and around Northampton. There was some time for social get togethers including a pleasant evening of "Jazz on the Lawn", with picnic, candelabras and the benefit of a beautiful summer evening.
Rotary business was conducted at our Friday meeting where we heard how things were done in America. We picked up tips about fundraising and community service, some of which can be transferred to our own activities.
On Sunday 18th July we took our friends to meet with Leicestershire clubs who they will be with next.
