23 Jul 2004 - District Governor
Jack Ellis Joins the Club
Jack Ellis was inducted into the club by President David Hourihan in the presence of District Governor Andrew Cowling. His sponsor, Ken Hammond spoke highly of Jack's qualities as he introduced jack to the members.
Jack has been involved in a number of businesses, including dress manufacture and running clubs, restaurants and pubs. His great interest has always been the property as much as the enterprise and his Rotary classification as Property Development is a fair reflection of his current activities. However, it could easily be Entrepreneur because he has antennae for business opportunities which he exploits to good purpose.
Jack is married to Peggy and they live in Church Way, Weston Favell. They have three sons; Michael is a barrister practicing in the criminal courts and Stephen is a music publisher and agent in New York. Anthony is trying to make his way as a singer/songwriter, mostly in New York, but with regular visits to the UK.
Jack said after being inducted how pleased he was to be invited to join Northampton West and looked forward to contributing to its success .
